Apple Crumble Crisp

As the leaves start to change color, nights and mornings become cooler, enjoy this sweet treat all week long! Apple crumble has become one of my favorite fall dessert recipes. This desert is topped with oats and brown sugar. The recipe is very straightforward, taste is so good and your family will love it. I love having this with a scoop of ice cream or yogurt. Next time you have plenty of apples getting old try this recipe out.☺

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In a baking dish, add parchment paper and set aside.

  3. Combine the sliced apples with the sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a large bowl and mix well until all of the apples are evenly coated. Then pour into the prepared baking dish.

  4. In a separate medium size bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Pour in the melted butter and stir until well coated and crumbly. Sprinkle the crumb mixture evenly over the top of the apples.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes until fruit is soft and the topping is golden brown. Allow cooling slightly before serving.
