Traditional Tacos

This recipe is all natural, low sodium and great flavor! Yes it is easy to purchase a store bought taco mix seasoning and call it a meal but those mix packets are high in sodium, preservatives and has “natural” flavors = artificial flavors. We paired this meal with a cucumber salad to cool down those spices. Try this taco recipe on the next taco night and you will be muy contento!

  1. Take a small bowl and mix chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and cayenne pepper, until well combined. 

  2. Set a large skillet on medium heat, adding the ground meat of your choice to it. Break it up into small pieces with a wooden spoon. 

  3. Cook until your meat no longer pink; about 3 to 5 minutes.

  4. Stir in taco spice mixture and water. 

  5. Reduce heat to a simmer and stir until most of the liquid has been absorbed; about 10-15 minutes.

  6. Then add the apple cider vinegar and coconut sugar into the skillet. 

  7. Let this simmer until flavors combine; about 3 to 5 minutes.

  8. Finally grab your favorite taco shells and toppings and enjoy!
